John & Claire's Wedding

29th October 2011
The ceremony was held at St. Mary's church in the beautiful old town of Hemel Hempstead. The church was build over 850 years ago and is still perfect in every way.

Meeting with the groom John & best man Matt at the church, they were hoping to get a swift pint in, but unfortunately the local drinking holes were closed until 11, at which point the guests started to arrive and there was no going back!

Once in the church it was easy to see how old the Church was by the stunning architecture & stained glass windows, of which there were many. (Thank god for natural light!)

It was now time for the arrival of the bride, and what an entrance she made, in a carriage drawn by two stunning black horses.

The sight of his daughter in her wedding dress brought tears to the eyes of her father as he arrived.
As we made our way down to the church the cheeky page boy decided he was off to the church with or with out the rest of them and he raced ahead of everyone!

Soon the ceremony was over & the happy couple emerged from the church hand in hand with smiles from ear to ear.
Once the formal pictures were taken and everyone was covered in confetti, we headed off to Shendish Manor in nearby Apsley.

On arrival we were greeted by the sight of a magnificent Victorian Manor set in 160 acres of formal gardens and parkland.

Once in the manor we walked around the grounds to capture some informal pictures of the bride & groom.
After the informal pictures were complete we then left the bride & groom to chat with family and friends before the rest of the day unfolded.

While the guests were enjoying their meals we took some time to relax at the bar, take in some more of the Manor itself and tuck into a rather good burger & chips.

It was then time to catch the speeches, which are one of the best parts of the day to me, full of laughter, tears & joy!!

From here on in the rest of the day flew by, before we knew it the cake was being cut and we were onto the first dance and then packing up to head home after a wonderful day at the wedding of Mr & Mrs Turney.
